SUNU Nigeria is set to conduct free mammography tests for 100 women as part of its environmental, social and governance goals.
The initiative, titled ‘Free Mamogram for 100 Women’, targeted at fighting against breast cancer in the country, is in commemoration of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month called ‘Pink October’.
In a statement on Wednesday, SUNU Nigeria said it joined the fight against breast cancer as part of its corporate social responsibility commitment to the people.
The firm stated: “SUNU Nigeria, which includes SUNU Assurances Plc and SUNU Health, believes that discovering breast cancer early is part of the ways to prevent deaths from breast cancer.
“Breast cancer is easier to treat if found early when it’s small and has not spread. This is why we are creating awareness and conducting free mammograms for 100 women.”
According to the insurance firm, the Mammogram will take place from Wednesday, October 30 to Saturday, November 2, 2024, at DIAMED Center, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
