Club Brugge midfielder, Raphael Onyedika has expressed his enthusiasm for participating in the UEFA Champions League, describing the experience as truly remarkable.
Since joining the Belgian Pro League champions, Raphael Onyedika has maintained a consistent presence in the UEFA Champions League.
The Nigerian international particularly impressed fans and critics alike with his outstanding performance in a Champions League match against Celtic on Wednesday, November 27. His ability to control the midfield and contribute defensively and offensively has not gone unnoticed.
Days after the UEFA Champions League match, which ended in a 1-1 draw, Onyedika shared his thoughts on playing in the Champions League with the Super Eagles media team. He emphasized that competing at this level has always been a dream of his.
“It’s a competition that almost every player aspires to be a part of,” he stated. “It provides a unique opportunity to not only showcase your skills but also to compete against some of the best teams and top players in the world.”
Reflecting on his experiences, he noted, “It feels like a dream come true, although I did have a setback with the red card against AC Milan. That was unfortunate, but such incidents are part of the game and can happen to anyone. Despite that, being able to participate in the Champions League remains one of my proudest moments as a professional footballer.”
