The Swiss National Bank cut interest rates on Thursday for a second straight meeting, after becoming in March the first Western central bank to slash borrowing costs that had been raised to battle inflation.
The central bank said in a statement that it reduced the policy rate by 0.25 percentage points to 1.25 per cent.
