The largest education union in England is set to announce an indicative ballot on whether to accept or reject the government's pay offer.
The Department for Education (DfE) recommended a 2.8% pay rise for teachers in 2025-26.
However the National Education Union (NEU) called this "extremely disappointing" and will ask members whether to accept or reject the pay award.
The ballot will open on 1 March and run until mid April, before being debated at the union's annual conference.
