The Times reports Chancellor Rachel Reeves has been told by the country's biggest retailers that shops will close, jobs will be lost and prices will rise because of her decision to raise National Insurance. It also reports on the Kremlin promising a "palpable" response after the US authorised Ukraine to use of its long-range missiles in Russia.
