Thirteen Premier League Clubs Drawn In 2024-2025 Carabao Cup Round 2, See Full Fixtures

The draw for the 2024/2025 Carabao Cup Round 2 has been officially confirmed, marking the division of the tournament into Northern and Southern sections.

In this stage of the Carabao Cup, Burnley, Luton Town, and 13 Premier League clubs not engaged in European competitions will enter, alongside the winners from Round 1.

According to the EFL, Round 2 fixtures are scheduled to be played in the week commencing August 26, 2024.

The EFL statement reads, “The draw for Round Two of the Carabao Cup has been confirmed. Round Two fixtures will take place in the week commencing August 25. The Carabao Cup remains regionally divided in the early rounds, with the draw split into a southern and northern section until Round Three.

“With 47 teams already securing their spots in Round Two, the remaining three places were claimed by Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth Argyle, and Middlesbrough after they emerged victorious in their Round One ties on Wednesday night.

“Round Two will witness the entry of Burnley, Luton Town, and the 13 Premier League clubs not taking part in European competitions.”
