President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Ibrahim Masari as chairman of the Board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).

LEADERSHIP recalls that Masari was the placeholder vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the build-up to the 2023 general election before the eventual nomination of Senator Kashim Shettima as the then presidential candidate Tinubu’s running mate.

According to a statement by Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Tuesday night, other eminent Nigerians will join Masari to serve on the TETFund Board. They include Senator Sani Danladi, Sunday Adepoju, Nurudeen Adeyemi, Mrs. Esther Onyinyechukwu Ukachukwu, Turaki Ibrahim, and Aboh Eduyok, all as Members of the Board.

“The President expects the new members of the board of this pivotal institutional vehicle to be dedicated and committed to driving TETFund’s objective of providing the needed support for tertiary education with a view to enhancing the productivity and quality of higher education,”
