In a heartwarming gesture, President Bola Tinubu has donated two trucks of rice and two trucks of fertiliser to the less privileged in Gombe State.
The items were delivered to the state through the minister of transport, Sa’idu Alkali, and distributed to the beneficiaries by the minister’s chief of staff, Umar Ahmed.
Our correspondent reports that each truck carried 1,200 bags of rice and fertiliser, totalling 4,800 bags.
The minister’s chief of staff explained that President Tinubu’s donation aimed to alleviate the hardship faced by the oppressed, demonstrating his commitment to the people of Gombe.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abba Sadiq expressed gratitude to President Tinubu, stating that the gesture would significantly contribute to putting food on the tables of vulnerable people in rural areas.
He assured that the donated items would reach the intended beneficiaries, adding that this charitable act by President Tinubu showcases his dedication to supporting those in need and fostering a sense of hope and resilience among the less privileged in Gombe.
