President Bola Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Dr Afis Agboola as the Provost and Medical Director of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, for a second term of four years.
The Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Iziaq Salako, conveyed the President’s approval to Dr Agboola, whose tenure renewal takes effect from 27th July 2024, via a letter (Ref. No. PRES/BI/SGF/138/90/MH/B) dated 24th October 2024.
The Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Mr Abiola Ajibola, disclosed this in a statement sent to journalists on Saturday.
While congratulating Dr Agboola on his reappointment, the minister urged him to reciprocate the confidence placed in him by surpassing his first-term achievements.
The statement read: “The reappointment of the Provost and Medical Director follows his impressive track record of achievements during the first term of his four-year administration.
“Dr Alausa, while presenting the letter and congratulating the Provost on his reappointment, tasked him with working harder to ensure that the hospital continues to provide quality healthcare and to build upon the successes of his first term.”
