President Bola Tinubu, his Vice Senator Kashim Shettima, and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) are among the eminent Nigerians expected to attend the second edition of the Progressive Young Leaders Summit (PYLS) 2024.

The APC National Youth Leader, Dr Dayo Israel, who disclosed this to journalists in Lagos, said the summit is a crucial step in ensuring that the voices of young Nigerians are not only heard but also play a vital role in shaping the nation’s development agenda.

According to him, the summit declared open by Vice President Kashim Shettima will be held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja from September 3rd to 5th, 2024.

He said the three-day event will also witness a Keynote address by President Bola Tinubu, who is expected to receive the communiqué of the programme at the end of the summit.

‘’This year’s Summit, themed “Shaping the Future We Want: from Restiveness to Inclusion, Action and Development,” is dedicated to channelling the energy and aspirations of young Nigerians towards building a future that embodies their collective dreams.

“The ruling party will host the event – The All Progressives Congress APC; the Summit will be a gathering of distinguished Nigerian Public and Private Sector Leaders, Nigerian government officials, policymakers, and dynamic young executives,” he said.

According to him, the summit being organized by the Office of the APC National Youth Leader aims to bridge the gap between youth and government, foster intergenerational dialogue, and provide a platform for young Nigerians to actively engage with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“The Summit will feature a series of Ministerial Town Hall sessions where participants will have the opportunity to interact with leaders in government on critical issues such as education, technology, economic development, and institutional reforms, with a focus on integrating actionable solutions into the administration’s policy frameworks,’’ he said.
