The leader of the Southern and Middle Belt Leaders Forum, Edwin Clark, has urged President Bola Tinubu to immediately implement the resolutions of the 2014 national conference.

Clark stated this on Thursday when he received a 10-man delegation of Igbo leadership, led by former chairman of the Police Service Commission, Simon Okeke, at his Asokoro residence, Abuja.

He said Nigeria is a big family and advised its presidents to avoid the temptation of making appointments on an ethnic basis, adding that such an act portends a very dangerous trend for the country.

The elder statesman asserted that implementing the confab report of the conference would help unite the country.

“If President Bola Tinubu immediately implements the 2014 National Conference Report, it will help to re-unite the Igbos, bringing them to the position they occupied before the civil war,” he said.

The elder statesman also urged Igbos to put their acts together to achieve their desire.
