Although his debut season was marred by injuries, Guler managed to make a significant impact, registering six goal involvements in 12 appearances, as reported by Fotmob, offering Real Madrid fans a glimpse of the potential he boasts of.

However, ahead of the start of the new season approaches, former Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos, has expressed confidence in Guler's success. In a recent interview, Kroos also discussed what sets Guler apart from other young talents currently emerging in the football world.

Toni Kroos speaks on Arda Guler

In an interview reported by Tribuna.com, the former Germany international, who has become a vocal supporter of Guler, stated:

"Arda Güler will have a great career if he stays injury-free."

The 34-year-old also highlighted what sets Guler apart from other young talents he has encountered:

"What differentiates Arda from other young players is his eagerness to learn. He truly wants to improve. His finishing and his left foot are exceptional; we all noticed that from the very first training session," Kroos added.

Guler was one of the standout performers at the recently concluded UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. The Turkish teenager showcased his versatility by seamlessly adapting to various roles throughout the competition.

As he heads into the new season, Guler's focus will be on maintaining his fitness, as injuries significantly affected his performance in the early stages of his first season with Los Blancos.

Mbappe and Vinicius picked for Ballon d'Or

In another report, Legit.ng disclosed that Lionel Messi has named Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe among the frontrunners for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award but has excluded Jude Bellingham from the race.

The England midfielder, who had a stellar debut season with Real Madrid, is expected to provide stiff competition to whoever is in the running for the prize.

The Ballon d’Or, which both Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi have largely dominated over the last decade, saw the Argentina captain add another to his record-extending accolade following his triumph at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
