Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi, a promising Nigerian striker, has completed his transfer to a Belgian club, Oud-Heverlee Leuven, earlier today, July 25.

The former Nigeria under-20 international completed his transfer to the Belgian club from Serie B side Salernitana on a permanent deal.

The 22-year-old signed a three-year contract with Leuven, and the club reportedly paid €1.8 million to secure his services.

Ikwuemesi, who will don jersey number 19 at his new club, expressed his excitement and determination after signing the contract.

He said, “OH Leuven is the right club for me. I will give everything for this shirt because I felt welcome here right away. The people within the club give me a lot of confidence, so I want to repay them with victories and goals.”

During his time at Salernitana, the young Nigerian forward scored three goals and provided two assists in 27 appearances last season.

Youssef En-Nesyri Joins Jose Mourinho

Fenerbahce have confirmed the signing of Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla in a €20 million deal.

The Moroccan striker has signed a contract with the Turkish side until June 2029, becoming the second striker to join the club under the management of Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho, who convinced Edin Dzeko to join Fenerbahce earlier this summer, watched with excitement as his new signee, Dzeko, made a huge impact by scoring a hat-trick against Lugano in a Champions League qualifier on Tuesday night. The Portuguese tactician would hope En-Nesyri makes a similar impact at the club.

Ivan Toney Doesn’t fancy Arsenal, Chelsea

Brentford and English striker Ivan Toney reportedly favours a move to Tottenham Hotspur over other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea, according to talkSPORT.

The 28-year-old England international had also been linked to Manchester United in the past.

Recall that Toney played a bit-part role in England’s journey to the Euro 2024 final, where they lost 2-1 to champions, Spain.

While Brentford maintained that Toney won’t come cheap, it’s believed that his valuation has decreased from over £70 million to £55 million.
