Italian Serie A club, Lazio, have reached a verbal transfer agreement with Arsenal to sign Nuno Tavares.

Tavares has also agreed to move to Lazio in this summer transfer window and is expected to sign a 5-year contract with the club which will keep him in Italy until June 30, 2029.

The 24-year-old Portuguese wingback is expected to travel to Italy to complete the paperwork of the transfer deal which will earn Arsenal €9 million.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared that the defender will spend the first part of the deal on loan and Lazio are mandated to make the move permanent afterwards with a sell-on clause.

Also in Italy, Inter Milan have extended the contract of their manager, Simone Inzaghi. The new deal will keep him at the club until June 30, 2026.

Based on the new deal, coach Inzaghi is expected to earn €6.5 million per season and a €2 million bonus if Inter win the Scudetto within the next two seasons.

In England, newly promoted Premier League club, Southampton have completed the signing of 24-year-old Japanese defender, Yukinari Sugawara.

Southampton paid his former club, AZ Alkmaar a transfer fee worth €7 million to complete the deal which is expected to last for four years.

Tottenham Hotspur have sold Troy Parrott to AZ Alkmaar for a transfer fee worth €8 million. The fee is said to be part of the revenue they generated from Sugawara’s deal.

At the Emirates, Arsenal have agreed to sell Albert Sambi-Lokonga to Sevilla. The 24-year-old Belgian midfielder is expected to complete his medical today, July 12, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Sambi-Lokonga will start his journey at Sevilla on loan and the loan deal comes with a €12 million buy option clause and a 25% sell-on clause if the Spanish side decides to make the deal permanent.

At Old Trafford, Joshua Zirkzee has completed his medical at Manchester United and he is expected to have a face-to-face meeting with the club’s coach, Erik Ten Hag as a new Red Devils star.

Zirkzee signed a three-year deal with Manchester United from Bologna which will keep him at Old Trafford until June 30, 2029. The transfer deal cost United €42.5 million.

Meanwhile, Portuguese star, Rodri, has stressed that he intends to respect his contract with Manchester City which still has three years left. He stressed that he is not thinking of leaving England at the moment.

“I’m very, very happy in England”, Rodri told Diarioas

“I’m at one of the best clubs in the world, it’s obvious, and I’m happy. I have a three-year deal and, when the time comes, I will see.”
