Gabonese striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has decided to leave Olympic Marseille this summer transfer window.

Aubameyang is expected to join Saudi Pro League club, Al Qadsiah on a two-year contract, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Spanish footballer, Thiago Alcantara, who retired from football after leaving Liverpool this summer has joined the coaching crew of FC Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick.

Alcantara who played under Flick at Bayern Munich, will be part of the FC Barcelona squad that will tour the United States this summer.

It is celebrations at Marseille as they have found a perfect replacement for Aubameyang. Manchester United academy graduate, Mason Greenwood who couldn’t re-establish himself as a Red Devils star after his sexual assault scandal, is expected in France this week for his medicals.

Once the medical is completed, Greenwood is expected to sign a five-year contract with Marseille which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2029.

Note that the French side paid Manchester United €30 million and agreed to insert a 50% sell-on clause to Greenwood’s contract before they were able to complete the deal.

Earlier today, Manchester United permitted him to travel to France for the medical and Marseille have booked him a flight ticket for the journey.

In Spain, La Liga side, Villarreal are on the verge of completing a deal for Sergi Cardona who is currently without a club.

The 25-year-old Spanish left-back who last played for Las Palmas had clubs from Portugal, England, and Italy lining up for his services but he chose to move to Villarreal.

Cardona will undergo his medical on Thursday and he will then sign a three-year contract which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2027, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
