Coastguard rescue teams were involved in the rescue at Daddyhole

A climber has been airlifted to hospital after falling 32ft (10m) from cliffs in Devon

Coastguard rescue teams (CRTs) from Torbay and Brixham were alerted at about 17:15 BST on Sunday to reports that two men had been injured in a fall near Daddyhole, Torquay.

Both were recovered safely to the top of the cliff, one by the HM Coastguard helicopter and the other by CRT rope technicians, according to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

The men were then passed into the care of the South Western Ambulance Service, with one airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, rescuers said.

The extent of their injuries is not known.
