UNILORIN Unveils Kwara Gov’s Aide Fafoluyi, 22 Others As Advocates

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced the appointment of twenty-three (23) alumni as advotes of the institution.

The University of Ilorin Advocates Unveiling initiative is designed to honour alumni who have impacted their various professional fields, communities, and the alma mater.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Wahab Egbewole (SAN), while unveiling the 23 alumni said, “As advocates, you will serve as our mouthpiece, championing our values of excellence, integrity, and community engagement. Through your leadership, expertise, and networks, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our institution, fostering collaboration, and enhancing the reputation of UNILORIN both nationally and internationally.”

Egbewole added that the role of honourees’of the university as advocates is not limited to promoting the university, but also about giving back to the community.

“Your role goes beyond mere promotion. As advocates, you will also serve as mentors and role models for our current students, inspiring them to dream big, pursue their passions, and make a positive impact in their communities.

“Our expectation is that you will share experiences, offer guidance, and provide opportunities for our students to thrive and succeed in their chosen paths,” the vice chancellor said.

The initiative also aims to acknowledge and celebrate these individuals, promoting their achievements and inspiring current students.

The Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Olayinka Fafoluyi who made the list of the advocates was honoured for his exemplary contributions to the media and public relations industry.

Fafoluyi was unveiled alongside 22 others at an event held at the university’s auditorium where he was commended for his commitment to excellence, mentorship, and community development.

The university highlights Governor AbdulRazaq aide’s recognition as his substantial contributions to digital marketing, public relations, and dedication to fostering the growth and development of the next generation.

It noted Fafoluyi’s journey from a promising student to a recognised leader in his field, exemplifying his commitment to personal growth and mentorship.
