Unity Bank Plc has hosted a capacity-building workshop aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs with digital marketing skills.

The workshop, themed “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: AI and Digital Marketing Strategies,” brought together participants from various sectors to equip them with essential skills for thriving in today’s digital economy.

The bank said in a statement on Wednesday that speakers, including the Chief Executive Officer of Jesshill Consulting, Opeyemi Ojesina; General Manager of Simba Group, Nkechinyere Ojiego; and Divisional Head of Retail and SME Banking at Unity Bank, Adenike Abimbola, spoke on leveraging digital platforms to expand market reach, enhance business operations, and improve customer engagement.

Abimbola highlighted the importance of empowering women in business, stating that over 70 per cent of women entrepreneurs in Nigeria were seeking such capacity-building initiatives.

She reaffirmed Unity Bank’s commitment to supporting female-led ventures and fostering collaboration with women in business.

A participant, Yetunde Adeniran, expressed her excitement about integrating digital technology into her business after attending the workshop.

She also praised Unity Bank’s Yanga Account, designed to support small business owners with tailored financial solutions.

Unity Bank stated that it would continue to be dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs through valuable resources, financial tools, and educational opportunities that promote growth in an increasingly competitive market.

The PUNCH reports that no fewer than 40 customers of Unity Bank have received over N4m in cash rewards in its ongoing loyalty promo.
