The President and Chief Executive of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has said the United States Crude Grade, WTI, accounted for 30 percent of crude delivered to Dangote Refinery.
Dangote disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
He was responding to a report that the crude oil supply from Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited accounted for 60 percent of its delivered cargoes.
The company said that it has received 18 crude oil cargoes of WTI blend in the period under review.
He, however, said the 650,000 barrels per day, $20 billion Dangote Refinery is designed for Nigerian crude blends.
According to him, Dangote Refinery would broaden the refinery’s feedstock sources with Libyan, Angolan, and Brazilian crude.
“The US grade has accounted for 30 percent of crude delivered to Dangote, through 18 cargoes,” he stated.
