The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Information Chapel, has nominated the Managing Director, Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO), Kelvin Uwaibi for an excellence award.
This was contained in a statement signed by the chapel’s chairperson, Nekpen Nwine and made available to journalists in Benin.
The chairperson, announcing the chapel’s decision for the award, said it was in recognition of his significant contributions to making Edo State a more attractive destination for investment opportunities.
Nwine said that Uwaibi’s dedication to fostering an investment-friendly environment in the state earned him unanimous praise from the NUJ executives and members.
Nwine specifically commended Uwaibi’s role as the pioneer Managing Director, ESIPO in driving the positive change that has brought about an improved business environment in the state.
She added that Edo State had never had it so good not until Uwaibi took over the helm of affairs of ESIPO.
She said that the upcoming award ceremony was a testament to Uwaibi’s unwavering commitment to the state’s economic growth.
According to her, the prestigious award will be conferred on him on June 20, during the NUJ’s yearly forum, with the theme ‘Transparency and Accountability: Building Blocks for Economic Prosperity’.
Nwine added that ESIPO has further proven that there could be regional development if both the public and private sectors collaborate to do business together.
