Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has expressed his appreciation to his Galatasaray teammates, emphasizing how their support has facilitated a smooth transition for him at the club.

Victor Osimhen, 25, has quickly become a vital player for the Yellow and Reds since he joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on loan from Napoli during the summer.

In Galatasaray’s impressive 5-1 victory over Kayserispor, Osimhen showcased his skill by scoring two goals, bringing his season totals to 12 goals and five assists under Okan Buruk’s management.

“It was crucial for me to join this team and become part of such a prestigious club. Adapting quickly was essential, and I owe a lot to my teammates and the staff for their role in that,” Victor Osimhen told the club’s official website.

“They welcomed me warmly from the outset, making it easy for me to fit in. I learned a lot about the playing styles of Barış, Yunus, and the other players, and I already had the advantage of previous experience playing with Dries.”

He continued, “I’m grateful to contribute and assist the team in the way I envisioned. We remain unbeaten in both the league and Europe, which is an excellent position to be in.”

Galatasaray’s unbeaten run this season continues after 16 games, and Osimhen stressed the importance of sustaining this momentum throughout the campaign.

“As our coach reiterated, we must take it one step at a time. Each match holds significance for us, and we aim to achieve our objectives in the Super League as we progress,” he added.

Following the resounding win over Kayserispor, Osimhen congratulated his team, recognizing the match as a pivotal moment in the season that has allowed them to widen their points advantage.

“I wholeheartedly commend our team. This match was incredibly important, especially considering the opponent’s strong attacking players. Securing this victory was crucial, and I’m pleased to have contributed two goals,” he remarked.

“We are delighted with this win as we head into the Christmas break, and we’re eager to maintain our momentum moving forward.”
