A lady who was supposed to travel to Canada was asked to go back when she was already at a Nigerian airport.

The lady shared her story on TikTok, noting that her luggage was already on the aeroplane but she was prevented from boarding.

Chole was travelling to Canada to resume as a student after being accepted into a Canadian university.

She didn't present a Canadian university enrollment letter

However, she needed an enrollment letter which she did not present at the time she was at the airport.

After that day, she had to buy a new flight ticket after she mailed her school and got the required documents,

She said:

"I needed an Enrollment letter from the school aside from the admission letter. There was Covid so procedures were changing back to back. I couldn't reschedule. I had to buy a new ticket."

Nigerian students risk deportation

In a related story, some Nigerian students who failed to pay their school fees as specified have been asked to leave the UK without delay.

The students are studying various courses at Teesside University, UK, and they did not pay fees as required by the school.

They were removed from their courses and reported to the UK's Home Office, resulting in their visas being withdrawn.
