The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has said that the party is fully prepared to participate in the Saturday local government elections in Benue State.
Mr. Edward Akpen, APGA Deputy National Chairman, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Makurdi.
Akpen, who is also the party’s Vice Organising Secretary North Central, said that his party is fielding six candidates in the election.
“Our party is ready to participate; we have six candidates participating in the election on the platform of APGA, and three of them are contesting for chairmanship.
“Though we are not fully satisfied with the processes leading to the election, we believe that the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) cannot do more than the masses who are coming out to vote tomorrow.
“By God’s grace, the election would be peaceful, and the people would vote for the candidates of their choice,” he said
