Why We Hosted ‘My Airport Wedding’ —BI-Courtney

The operators of Terminal 2 at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA2), BI- Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), has explained why they allowed hosting of wedding in their terminal.

LEADERSHIP reports that a wedding event, the very first of its kind, tagged: ‘My Airport Wedding’, took place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the ticketing hall of MMA2, featuring a couple, Agboola Abiodun Qudus and Olamide Miracle, exchanging their wedding vows at the airport, surrounded by family, friends, well-wishers, and terminal users.

Speaking to LEADERSHIP, BI-Courtney’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi said the wedding will elevate the recognition of MMA2 and the Nigerian aviation sector globally, drawing attention to the company’s innovative spirit.

“Embodying our slogan, ‘More than a terminal,’ we pride ourselves in our ability to craft unique experiences and activities within our terminal, enhancing the journey for our passengers and terminal users through various innovative expressions.

“This event is poised to significantly impact the travel, entertainment, and aviation sectors. It will elevate the recognition of MMA2 and the Nigerian aviation sector globally, drawing attention to our innovative spirit.

Yinka-Olawuyi, however, stated that the idea of the wedding was a brainchild of Monica Oguta and was actualised by the Head of the Creative Service Department, Korede Ogunseinde.
