Wizkid Calls Don Dazzy “Amazing” Weeks After Tagging Him An Influencer

Wizkid is seemingly looking to patch things up with Mavin record label boss, Don Jazzy.

This comes just months after a social media spat where Wizkid referred to Don Jazzy as an “influencer.”

A term many perceived as disrespectful. Especially given Don Jazzy’s instrumental role in launching the careers of several Nigerian artistes. Some of them include Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon and many others.

On his X account, Wizkid made a post that says, “Don jazzy!! amazing human!”. Leaving many people wondering the reason behind the sudden switch up since he last called Don Jazzy an “influencer.”

The drama began when Mavin Records signee Ladipoe commented on the state of Afrobeats, comparing it to the “hip hop is dead era.”

Wizkid, known for his snark remarks and “bad mouth,” responded by saying he wouldn’t engage with a rapper signed to an influencer. His comment raised eyebrows and led to rumours of a rift between him and Don Jazzy.

However, Wizkid’s recent post has put those speculations to rest in the post where he referred to Don Jazzy as an “amazing human.” Seemingly acknowledging the legendary producer’s impact on the music industry.

Furthermore, Wizkid has praised Ayra Starr, a Mavins signee as being an “amazing” artiste as well.
Replying to an X user who questioned if Wizkid truly considered Ayra Starr and Tems as better artistes than him. He responded with, “I see u weren’t raised by a good woman and love at home. Ayra Star and Tems are amazing.”

It is clear that Wizkid is in the spirit of reconciliation and is dishing out praises to his fellow artistes. Subsequently, he praised Ruger in an X post saying, “Yo I truly love Ruger’s make way! That guy is amazing!” To which Ruger replied with, “I really needed some real encouragement thank you BIG WIZ THANK YOU FC.”
