Wizkid Pays Emotional Tribute to Late Mother on Posthumous Birthday

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has remembered his late mother, Mrs. Jane Morayo Balogun, on her posthumous birthday, expressing his deep sadness and longing for her presence. Wizkid’s mother passed away on August 18, 2023, in London.

On his social media handle, Wizkid wrote a heartfelt message, saying: “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever!”

Wizkid also announced plans to release a new album, ‘Morayo’, in tribute to his mother, although no release date has been disclosed.
