An analysis of the budget performance document showed that the state earned N8.1billion as internally generated revenue in the period under review.

This would imply that it spent 32% of the state internally generated revenue on lawmakers sitting allowances and 14.8% on Chalets in presidential lodge.

This would mean that in total 46.9% of the state IGR went to Chalets in Presidential lodge and lawmakers sitting allowance.

This development is despite economic hardship ravaging states in the country.

For better context, Yobe State has a poor internally generated revenue record of N8.1billion relying heavily on the federally distributed revenue put at N85.2 billion.

Despite spending N2.6 billion on honorarium and sitting allowance, Yobe State Water Corporation capital expenditure stood only N1.4 billion.
