Ex-beauty queen and Nollywood actress, Lady Mina Horsfall, has joined well-wishers to celebrate the newly crowned Miss Africa International 2024, Miss Tubosoye Karibi-George, saying she has made Nigeria proud on the global stage.
The Kalabari-born Tubosoye, who beat others in a pageant to clinch the title of Miss Africa International 2024, will touch down in Port Harcourt, Rivers State for a reception in her honour.
In a congratulatory message obtained in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Saturday, Horsfall congratulated Tubosoye for bringing the crown home
She added that in 2001, Kalabari Kingdom produced the first black African Miss World Queen, in the person of Agbani Darego.
She said, “I am delighted to celebrate you on the occasion of your homecoming, You made Nigeria proud on the global stage.
“I enjoin Rivers people to welcome our Queen home and encourage the Government of Rivers-State to recognise her as a Worthy Ambassador of the state, to serve as an inspiration to young women”, Horsfall said.
She, however, urged the new queen to use her office to touch lives and make an impact, by showcasing the beauty and strength of African women.
