DAILY POST reports that most of the strategic areas in Lokoja the Kogi State capital were deserted as the nationwide protest against bad governance gets underway.
Flashpoint areas such as Ganaja Junction, Government House Road,
Paparanda and NATACO were barricaded by security agents of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, local vigilantes, and Federal Road Safety Corps.
DAILY POST observed that most of the shops in Lokoja were under lock and key over fear of attack by protesters.
As of 9:46 am, motorists, commercial motorcyclists and tricycle riders were going about their daily activities.
