Zioncity Innovation Services has introduced Back2U, a digital solution designed to return lost and found official documents to their legitimate owners within 48 hours.

Back2U, which was unveiled in Lagos recently, requires users to subscribe to the service before claiming any lost documents, including passports, driving licenses, and certificates.

Speaking at the launch, a consultant with Zioncity Innovation Services, Ngu Denulf, stated, “We are presenting an innovative concept that will solve a major social problem in Africa for those who lose their documents and seek solutions.

“Today, we are in Nigeria; yesterday, we were in Cameroon. We aim to assist victims of lost documents by ensuring their return within 48 hours. We operate as a value-added service within telecom operators.”

According to Denulf, the company signed its first contract with MTN and is in the process of onboarding with other telecom operators.

He added. “If we are unable to retrieve the document, we will refund the value of the document.”

The Business Development Officer at the firm, Blessing Favour, said the service aimed to alleviate the emotional toll and logistical challenges associated with losing important documents.

“Our pioneering service, Back2U, is poised to revolutionize the recovery process, tackling a long-standing challenge with unprecedented efficiency.

“By harnessing innovative technology and a committed team, we strive to simplify the ordeal of retrieving lost documents and reuniting them with their rightful owners. Our vision is to emerge as a global trailblazer in document recovery, setting new standards for swift and secure returns.”

According to Favour, once subscribed, Back2U takes responsibility for identifying and returning misplaced documents to their owners. If retrieval is unsuccessful, the company guarantees a refund of the document’s value.

She said a replacement clause was activated if the document was not found after a two-week search, with the company paying for replacement at the official price.

Recovered documents could be picked up or delivered to subscribers, Favour added.
