Stone town

Stone Town is a world heritage site in the heart and soul of Zanzibar. This historic city is a maze of narrow, winding streets lined with intricately carved wooden doors, markets, and ancient buildings. This is a great place to visit if you are interested in the history of the world.  You can immerse yourself in the rich Swahili culture, explore the iconic House of Wonders or visit the former Slave Market. Cuisine experts or foodies like me, can also visit this place and indulge in the delicious seafood at the Forodhani Gardens night market.

Zanzibar beaches

Zanzibar is renowned for its breathtaking beaches, each offering a unique experience. You can visit the Nungwi beach. This beach is like a beautiful peacock whose full beauty can be seen when its wings are spread. Visit Nungwi at nighttime and enjoy the water sports and let entertainment choke you. 

There is also Kendwa with its long stretch of white sand and calm waters. It is ideal for relaxation and soaking up the sun. This is like the ladies’ beach and if you’re looking for a honeymoon kind of beach, then head right here

Did you say you love reefs? Then head to Jambiani. This beach is a charm that offers stunning coral reefs and a tranquil ambiance to its explorers. Just be sure to eat and have enough strength for some climbs. 

Zanzibar Islands 

Zanzibar offers more than just stunning beaches. It’s also a home for the wilds. Embark on a thrilling safari to explore hidden lagoons, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and encounter dolphins.  You can stop by at Jozani Forest to spot the endangered red colobus monkey, Zanzibar’s iconic primate.
