Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been nominated for the Infrastructure Development Award for the second consecutive time.
This was contained in a press statement signed yesterday by chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou.
The award, organised by the Best Strategic Media in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), recognises exceptional leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to infrastructure development and improving the lives of their citizens.
He said the recognition acknowledged Fintiri’s outstanding achievements in transforming Adamawa’s infrastructure landscape.
Governor Fintiri’s nomination is a testament to his administration’s tireless efforts to revitalise critical sectors such as roads, bridges, healthcare, education and water supply. His vision has resulted in unprecedented growth and development in the state, the CPS said.
The first recognition was during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, Fintiri has dedicated the nomination to the people of Adamawa. He reiterated his commitment to continuing the infrastructure revolution in the state, saying, “We are determined to leave no stone unturned in our quest to transform Adamawa State into a model for infrastructure development in Nigeria.”
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will present the award to him on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the State House in Abuja.
