Actress, Bolaji Ogunmola, has said that she likes setting “crazy” goals because they push her to do better.
Speaking on a show hosted by her colleague, Tope Olowoniyan, she said, “This year has been the hardest I have ever worked in my life. Every year, I set very crazy goals for myself, and it just gives me a bit of push in terms of having to go harder.”
Ogunmola however stated that personal growth should not come at the expense of one’s well-being.
“There is nothing wrong in one going slow. Nobody should feel pressured. The pressure for YouTube this year was crazy, having to churn out content for my channel,” she said.
The actress also cited Funke Akindele as a major source of inspiration for her. She said, “When I see aunty Funke Akindele working this hard, I tell myself that I have no choice. She motivates and inspires me. Coming from where she is coming from, where nobody was even a believer, she proved people wrong.”
Speaking on the importance of affirming one’s goals, Ogunmola said, “Whatever you want in life, don’t stop saying it. The easiest thing for you to do is to dream. There is nobody in this world that can take it from you. You may not have the money right now, but just have a dream and say, ‘This is what I want to do.’ It might not happen now, but it will happen.”
