Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Mba, and his wife have regained their freedom after being kidnapped on Friday.
The couple was abducted along the Edo-Kogi Expressway while on their way to Abuja to attend the wedding of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter.
A government official confirmed the release on Saturday night, saying the commissioner and his wife were safe, according to The PUNCH newspaper.
Tragically, one of the commissioner’s aides was killed during the abduction.
The Anambra State government is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
