Entrepreneur and socialite, Amdalat Suleiman, is still basking in the excitement of her new title of Otun Iyaloade of Oro Kingdom, in Kwara State.

Suleiman, who is the Chief Executive Officer of SWL Oil and Gas Limited, and SWL Real Estate and Homes Limited, told Society Plus that she would bring her business acumen to bear on the new position.

On the impact she intends to make, the Speedy Weight Loss boss said, “I will like to see more companies operate in the community. If there are more companies there, they will create more job opportunities for the youth and reduce the number of louts. Farming will also be encouraged; and more schools will be built as well.

“I will also advise the king from time to time about development initiatives that will benefit the people of the kingdom.

Though some young people shy away from accepting such titles, Suleiman stated that she was motivated by her desire to contribute her quota to the uplift of society. She said, “I am not a kid again. I might be young but I am an adult and I know what I want. Before now, I had been involved with elders, so something like this is not strange to me.”

Advising other young people as regards joining hands with community leaders, she said, “My number one advice to young people is that they should make sure they work hard. They should not reject any opportunity given to them to serve. I did not see this (title) coming, but I had to accept it. I consider it to be my own way of being of service to humanity.”

Suleiman added that she would maintain and amplify her philanthropic antecedents to touch as many lives as possible.

“I am deeply committed to giving back to society. Through my charity organisation— SWL Foundation— I have worked diligently to support grassroots initiatives, focusing on projects that aim to uplift underserved communities. My dedication to social responsibility is an integral part of my entrepreneurial journey. I believe that success is not only measured by business achievements but also by the positive impact one can have on society.”
