Cyriel Dessers To Leave Rangers In January, Onuachu Wanted At Besiktas

Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Cyriel Dessers is reportedly considering a departure from Rangers when the January transfer window opens.

Cyriel Dessers has faced significant challenges in winning over the majority of Rangers supporters since his transfer from the Italian side Cremonese last summer.

Despite the expectations that came with his signing, Dessers has found it difficult to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup and has recently been overshadowed by the performances of Brazilian striker Danilo and Moroccan forward Hamza Igamane.

The situation has prompted speculation about Dessers’ future at the club, with Ibrox Noise stating that he is already weighing his options.

Rangers previously turned down a bid from Atlanta United, a team in Major League Soccer, aimed at securing his services during the summer transfer window.

The Scottish side appear determined to recoup the investment they made in Dessers, indicating they would only entertain offers in the vicinity of the £6 million they originally paid.

Meanwhile, Turkish Süper Lig club Besiktas has emerged as a potential suitor for Southampton striker Paul Onuachu.

The Nigerian has been marginalized at Southampton this season, contributing minimally to the squad’s efforts. As a result, Onuachu is anticipated to seek an exit from the South Coast club when the transfer window reopens next month.

Reports from the Star have revealed that Besiktas are keen on signing Onuachu and are prepared to offer him a three-year contract.

The striker has a history in Turkey that could aid his transition, having enjoyed a successful loan spell with Trabzonspor last season, where he made a significant impact by scoring 17 goals during his year-long stay.
