Gospel singer, Kent Edunjobi, has attributed his increasing success and busy schedule to his hit song, Ebenezeri, which has captivated audiences and critics alike.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, he described the song as “a life-changing experience”.
He said, “Ebenezeri has been a life-changing experience which I never saw coming. It has been a journey of grace. Before the song, I was always busy, but now, things have got even busier. Still, we can’t complain. All glory goes back to the giver of the gift— the Father of Light.”
On what his music has done that has shocked him, he said, “Seeing people give different testimonies just from listening to my music is definitely it. Music is powerful, as they say, and I’m witnessing its power firsthand in people’s lives.”
When asked about the challenges facing the gospel music industry, Edunjobi maintained a positive perspective. “I wouldn’t really call it a challenge. Every challenge is an opportunity for greatness. It’s gospel—it’s the news of Christ we are propagating. I believe if there is any challenge, the Caller Himself will see to it and make every crooked way straight,” he responded.
The singer also stated that the inspiration for his latest song, Ogo, came during a prayer session. He said, “My new song is a declaration of light and purpose. We all carry light as sons and daughters of the Father of Light, and it’s our duty to shine brightly in our respective fields—whether as musicians, doctors or engineers. It is a powerful song that encourages people to embrace and share the light they carry, inspiring others to come to the light of the Father.”
