How we used money donations – Ex-inmates who spent 24 years in prison

Ismail Lasisi and Lukman Adeyemi, who were wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years, express their heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians for their overwhelming support. After their release, approximately 1.6 million Naira was raised by generous citizens within two weeks of Punch’s video report; enabling them to rent an apartment and purchase basic necessities such as beds and food.

With renewed hope, the duo is now looking forward to rebuilding their lives. They are planning to learn new skills and start afresh, with hope of becoming self-dependent.
