A yet to be identified staff of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has been electrocuted while working on a faulty line.
DAILY POST gathered that the staff was working on a faulty line when electricity was suddenly restored in the area.
The staff, who was working on the top of the pole, was electrocuted immediately the electricity was restored.
DAILY POST gathered on Friday that the incident occurred around West African Examination Council (WAEC) office in Ijokodo area of Ibadan on Tuesday.
It took his colleagues several minutes before they could bring him down from the top of the pole.
Our correspondent learnt that the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Further details about the staff have not been revealed as of the time of filing this report on Saturday.
However, all efforts made by DAILY POST to get reaction from IBEDC since Friday proved to abortive.
Several calls put across to the head of media of relations of IBEDC, Busola Tunwase, on Friday were not answered.
But, Coordinating Head Corporate Services of IBEDC, Angela Olanrewaju, when contacted, advised our correspondent to send his name and phone number.
Messages sent by our correspondent after the name and contact were sent have not been replied as of the time of filing this report on Saturday.
Calls put through her line on Friday were not answered either.
