Independent Diplomat calls for investigation into civilian killings in Mali

Independent Diplomat has secured a new cooperation agreement aimed at presenting a call for an investigation into the killings of civilians in Mali.

This effort, on behalf of the human rights organization Association Kalakal, is part of a broader strategy to impose international sanctions against Mali’s Military Government through its separatist allies.

The consulting agency Independent Diplomat is at the forefront of this initiative, leveraging its diplomatic and intelligence capabilities to advocate for increased international scrutiny of the Malian government.

The agency’s involvement with the pro-Azawad separatist movement CSP-PDA is a key component of its strategy.

This collaboration is designed to draw global attention to alleged crimes committed by the Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) and Russian instructors against ethnic groups in northern Mali.

The connection between Independent Diplomat and the separatists came under the spotlight in February 2024, when a video circulated by CSP-PDA supporters featured armed militants, including Carne Ross, the agency’s founder and former chief executive.

Ross, with his background in the UK Foreign Office and the UN, has faced scrutiny over his possible ties to militant activities.
