Indigenes Hold Ekiti Day In Abuja

All is set for the first-of-its-kind epoch-making event, Ekiti Day In Abuja 2024, with the assistance of the Ekiti State Diaspora Relations office.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 20th, 2024, at 3 pm at the Grand Cubana Hotels, Jabi, Abuja.

Ekiti Day is designed to bring together all the Indigenous People of Ekiti State in Abuja under one roof to celebrate the state’s uniqueness and diversity and showcase its tourism and cultures to the whole world. The event will also feature cultural displays, exhibitions, and an award ceremony for outstanding sons and daughters of the state.

According to the convener, Ambassador Desmond Femi Agboola, the event is being supported by a group, Omo Ekiti Pataki Abuja branch with the assistance of the director-general of Ekiti State Diaspora Relations.

Its aims and objectives are to promote unity and development in Ekiti State and unite its indigenes in Abuja.

The event will also have the governor of Ekiti State, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, as the special guest of honour. He will use the opportunity to talk to the participants about the impact of his administration in developing Ekiti State and making it a model among the comity of states in Nigeria and his infrastructural and educational achievements.
