Addressing the recent unrest that resulted in the tragic murder of the village head, Alhaji Awual Abubakar, and his younger brother, Rilwanu Abubakar Kawu, Governor Kefas, through his deputy governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.

He stressed that the primary duty of the government is to protect lives and property.

The state government, as observed by our reporter, is resolute in its determination to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators of the attack, irrespective of their status.

Deputy Governor Alkali urged the community to foster peace and unity, which are essential for the development and progress of the area.

The unrest in Usmanu village in May 2024 not only resulted in the brutal killings of the village head but also led to significant property damage.
