A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering three women in a brutal crossbow attack in southern England, British Police confirmed.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, leaving Carol Hunt, 61, and her daughters, Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, fatally injured. The victims were found at a residence in Bushey and later succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

“A man has now been arrested in connection with a triple murder which happened on Tuesday evening,” Hertfordshire Constabulary announced in a statement on Friday.

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, stated, “Our thoughts remain with the victims’ family at this tragic time. The investigation is moving at pace, and as a result, we have now arrested a man. Enquiries are continuing at this time.”

The suspect was taken into custody on Thursday evening and faces three counts of murder. The motive behind the attack remains unclear as investigations continue.

The victims include Carol Hunt, the wife of BBC horse racing commentator John Hunt, and their two daughters. The community of Bushey is in shock as they mourn the tragic loss of three lives.
