The seven ministers-designate have expressed gratitude to Senator Basheer Lado, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Senate Matters, for his invaluable assistance during their screening and confirmation by the Senate.
They credited the presidential aide with making their transition into office seamless.
Ambassador Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu, the minister of state –designate for foreign affairs, spoke on behalf of her colleagues during a meeting with Lado yesterday. She noted how he guided them through the entire process with ease.
“We cannot thank you enough for the way you navigated us through this journey and made us feel comfortable throughout,” she stated, “Personally, I was quite nervous and uncertain about whether the day would finally arrive.”
She highlighted Lado’s proactive approach, saying, “From the very beginning, you reached out to us individually, provided clear instructions on the necessary documentation, and supported us from start to finish.”
On behalf of her fellow nominees, she extended their appreciation, adding, “We are incredibly grateful for your efforts and your understanding. You made yourself available even during late-night calls, always ready to guide us.”
Joining her in expressing gratitude were the other six ministers-designate: Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi (Labour and Employment), Dr. Jumoke Oduwole (Industry, Trade and Development), Idi Muktar Maiha (Livestock Development), Rt Hon Yusuf Abdullahi Ata (Housing and Urban Development), and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad (Designated Minister of State for Education).
