Senator Munir Ned Nwoko (PDP, Delta North) and 13 other senators in the current assembly sponsored the highest number of bills in one year.
From May 2023 to May 2024, these senators have introduced more bills than their counterparts in the assembly.
Data indicates that Senator Nwoko has so far sponsored not less than 25 bills and 19 motions from May 2023 to date, while Senator Tahir Monguno, (APC, Borno North), sponsored over 23 bills.
Other notable contributors include the deputy senate president, Barau Jibrin (APC, Kano North) who has 22 bills to his credit, Senator Michael Bamidele (APC, Ekiti Central) with 17 and Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong (Cross River South) with 13. Senator Daniel Oluwagbenga of Ogun East also sponsored 13 bills.
Additionally, Senator Orji Kalu (APC, Abia North) sponsored 12 bills, while Senators Mukhail Abiru (Lagos East) Olamilekan Solomon (Ogun West), and Banigo Harry (Rivers West) each sponsored 12, and 11 bills respectively.
Senators Tony Nwoye (Anambra North), Aliyu Wadada (SDP, Nasarawa WEST) , Sani Musa (APC, Niger East), and Wasiu Sanni of Lagos Central each sponsored 10 bills.
