Alabi defected to the ruling party in Akoko North West Local Government of the state during the campaign tour of APC to communities in the council area.

The running mate to the governorship candidate of SDP, Bamidele Akingboye, was received into the APC fold by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Chairman of the party in the state, Ade Adetimehin,

Alabi had a few weeks ago resigned her membership in the SDP after dumping the party on October 2, 2024, after she notified the National Chairman of SDP, Shehu Musa Gabam of her decision.

Meanwhile, Aiyedatiwa, who is the governorship candidate of the party, stated during the campaign that the 2025 budget of his administration will be structured for the overall benefits of the 18 local government areas of the state.

“The 2025 budget will be well-structured to ensure that no part of Ondo State is left behind. We are already making progress across various sectors.

“I am thankful for the love and support you showed during the primaries. Your endorsement today strengthens my resolve to continue serving you diligently.”
