Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega has bemoaned being subjected to several crippling tackles by defenders in the Russian Superliga Women in recent times, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 30-year-old is not one to make a fuss of defenders going at her, but coming thick and fast this term is a major concern for her.

One of the incidents that got her talking was her last league outing with the club on August 17 against SUW Ryazan, where she scored a brace in the 5-0 road win in the Game Week 17 fixture at Stadion Spartak, Ryazan.

Ordega, who is playing her third season with CSKA Moscow since joining them from Levante on a free in 2021, has now shared her concern in a post on Instagram.

“To be honest, this is what I face every game, not capping… Second slide, I gave up already, sis. Please just take the dame ball and move,” she wrote underneath the picture, which shows her ridden by an opposing defender.

A key member of the Super Falcons until lately, Ordega has been a consistent top performer for CSKA Moscow, notching a total of 25 goals and rendering seven assists in 16 appearances. She has scored nine goals plus one assist in 16 starts in as many matches this season.

The petite player, who started her professional career with Bayelsea United in 2008, is one of the most travelled Nigerian female footballers, having also played at Rossiyanka, Piteå IF, Washington Spirit, Sydney FC, Atlético Madrid, Shanghai Shengli, and Levante.

She has also made a mark in the international scene, representing Nigeria at U-17 and U-20 levels before graduating to the Super Falcons, where she has scored seven times in 26 outings since 2010, with a plethora of major laurels in her kitty.
