National vice chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South East zone, Chief Ali Odefa, has been suspended from the party.
At a press conference held in Onicha local government area by the ward executive committee of the party led by its acting chairman, Hebert Ovuta, the party accused Odefa of anti-party activities.
The party noted that the suspension was in line with provisions of Section 57 (3) of the PDP constitution.
Odefa and other executive members said, “We are here to inform you of the resolution of the Ward Executive Committee of the PDP in Oguduokwor Ward to suspend Chief Ali Odefa on the grounds of his anti-party activities and other offences which are destructive to our dear party, PDP.
“It is also important to inform you that we have further referred Chief Ali Odefa to the Ward Disciplinary Committee of the party.”
