PICTORIAL: Shettima, governors attend wedding of APC deputy chairman’s daughters in Borno

Prominent political figures gathered on Saturday in Borno State to witness the wedding Fatiha of the daughters of the All Progressives Congress Deputy National Chairman-North, Bukar Dalori.

The wedding, which took place at a well-attended gathering in Maiduguri, reportedly witnessed a huge influx of guests who had arrived in the city since Monday.

Among the distinguished attendees were Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governors Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, and the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In a post shared on X.com on Saturday, Alia expressed his honour in attending the wedding, offering heartfelt congratulations to the couples.

He wrote, “Today, I had the honour of attending the wedding Fatiha of Aisha Ali Bukar Dalori, Engr. Zara Ali Bukar Dalori, and Engr. Musa Lawan Monguno, children of my dear friend and brother, the APC Deputy National Chairman-North, Hon. Bukar Ali Dalori, in Maiduguri, Borno State.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the couples and pray for God’s abundant blessings, guidance, and success in their marriages. May their journey together be filled with love, peace, and prosperity.”

Vanguard reports that Shettima had eulogised Dalori’s virtue at the event and implored the couples to emulate his character and humility.

“We are gathered here to give the hands of our daughters out in marriage according to Islamic injunction. This perhaps is one of the happiest moments in the life of parents.

“So we are happy that this family has fulfilled these very important duties. We implore you to be of good nature and behaviour as you make your transition from being a daughter to motherhood. We pray that you will remember today for all the good things that marriage could bring,” Shettima was quoted as saying.
