President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the former Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, as the chairman of the Board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday titled, ‘President Tinubu appoints new board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.’
Other appointed members of the board include Senator Sani Danladi, Sunday Adepoju, Nurudeen Adeyemi, Esther Ukachukwu, Turaki Ibrahim, and Aboh Eduyok.
“The President expects the new members of the board of this pivotal institutional vehicle to be dedicated and committed to driving TETFund’s objective of providing the needed support for tertiary education with a view to enhancing the productivity and quality of higher education,” the statement added.
Masari was the placeholder vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the build-up to the 2023 general election before the eventual nomination of Senator Kashim Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate.
